Well, to start off from the begining, we had barrowed a donkey to take to the live nativity for our christmas in july. He is 2, and hasn't had anything done with him. My family calls me the horse whisper, so I attempted to teach this fella how to lead. Things went great at first, he would go in circles with me puling his head, and he would follow me a bit... But then we decided we wanted to put him back in his pen (The donkey had been jumping over the sides of it, and we were having a hard time keeping him in) So, I went to pull him in, everything was going slow, so mom after me saying "Stay away from his butt mom! I dont want him to take off with the rope in MY hand!" Mom being the stuborn person she is, just had to get behind him... He freaked, and ran. Me, being the stuborn person I am, didnt let go. At first I had him underhand, then out of now where I braced my feet (for some DUMB reason) and ...(O,btw,I was wearing crocks, and the grass was wet) he pulled my feet out from under me, and when I landed, I didnt hit my but or lower back what so ever, it was all my upper and middle back, neck, and head. My bac kwhen down, and my neck snapped making me hit my head on the ground.... Now, so you all know how stuborn I am, well, I couldnt very well let him win, or let him go! So, I held on. Im a pretty tall person (5 foot 6 or 7) and the lead rope was pretty short, so my feet where pretty much hitting his as he ran. He only drug me about 3 or 4 feet (maybe, maybe more, maybe less, it was pretty hard for me to think about it at the time) until I finally clicked in that since I was just little mom and dad have always said "If you cant hold an animal, let it go, a loose animal is better than a hurt person"... So, I let go. He ran, mom couldnt catch him, and there were kids on a slide near us. They asked if I was okay, but before I could awnser, I was running to catch the stupid Jack ass! I didnt feel how bad I was hurt until we got him back in his pen, and I sat down. So, we figure I have got a brused back, and wip lash, plus, the headaches arent a walk in the park.
So, I just thoguht you would liek to know about my adventures with my friend Mr.*******. Im fine now, just a little sore, and on some good pain killers. (Good thing I dont have school for a while eh?)
