SO today my neice who does my reception at work came in to help us with training and when she got up on the bed ( we were doing special bikin waxing i will leave it at that lol) she had these HUGE bruises on her knees so I jokingly said oh I what have you been up to. and the story came out

she was out in callender now that is not a big place its like a large village. SHe went to one of the pubs with her "friend" and guys her friend knows (supposedly) bought them a drink each. Her friend didn't get spiked but my neice did. she had 2 bottles of budweiser not exactly a huge amount! she was sooo drunk she fell over banged her knees smashed her phone luckily her BF turned up and took her back to his friends house as in carried her!! which was just as well cause her so called "friends " left her by herself and out of her face.

So blooming stupid and irresponsible of the guys who did it and who did not stick around once her BF turned up I must say!!

FOr any younger people on the forum be warned you hear about getting your drink spiked when left well my advice unless YOU know the person getting you a drink just don't drink it!!!

how scary!!!!! thankfully it turned out ok , it could have been so much worse, i dont even want to think about it.

It is a scary world today when someone cant buy a drink for someone elses w ithout wondering what is in it.

Man that is rotten. I hope she doesn't associate herself with those 'friends' anymore!

I've been drugged before, and badly too- they used something so potent that when I arrived at the hospital the doctors had to give me an MRI- it looked like I had a stroke. Thankfully I made a full recovery- but a warning of my own- it is getting increasingly common for WOMEN to spike other women's drinks to embarass them, or simply out of spite. Like the ladies don't have to worry about enough when they go out, huh.

Now THAT is really scarey!

How awful. I'm glad she's ok.

It's so important to watch your drinks, so I hope people can learn from this. On my first date with my husband (then boyfriend) I refused any drinks from him or his friends because you just never know...Now I can look back and think it's funny since I later married the guy, so I guess he was trustworthy. ;)

But I haven't always been so lucky. We were out at a run down club, with a big group of people....but because it was so crowded we got separated. I was annoyed with my boyfriend at the time and ended up hanging out with another group. They offered me a couple of shots, and I tookthem (man was that dumb). It turns out they had drugged it. Shortly after that they asked who I was there with, and I pointed out my boyfriend (he was pretty buff) and they took off. I got sick pretty quickly, but ended up being ok. Who knows what would have happened if I had continued to hang out with them.

So please be careful.

Its a shame its become such a common thing to happen. You were all lucky too but what a horrid experience to go through when all you want is a good night with friends!

I am forever grateful to her boyfriend for turning up when he did (he wasn't meant to be seeing her that night but decided he would rather go see her than where he was!)
