Our 2 rabbitscurrently havehutch with no access out: I have to open it from the top, pick up the rabbit and let him out on the ground. We are building enclosure to this hutch so they could get down to the ground level and leave through the door. We want to have this enclosure straight on the ground with no floor of any kind. My concern is that rabbits could possibly dig under wood pieces that surround the enclosure (they is some grass there and some soil). They already digged a large holegoing underground in the yard.

Could predators also dig under the wood pieces to get the rabbits? We don't seem to have many predators here but who knows.

Or, should we consider the floor by all means? Thanks!

You can dig a trench & put mesh in it. I don't know how deep you'd have to put it. Or you could just use a big sheet of the mesh as the floor. Grass grows through it, but they can't dig. Maybe leave the center area where they CAN dig, or give them a dig box.
