We recently got 2d bunnies and built a nice hutch. I did not like the idea of a wire floor so it is solid wood. Big mistake because it is turning white in the spots where they urintate, but I still don't want wire. I have seen pics of hutches with some kind of lining but I don't know what it is. Any suggestions.

If you aren't going to use wire then you should put a litter box in whichever corners they are peeing/pooping in. I'm not sure what kind of liner you could use, but leaving itsolid wooditwill end up smelly, stained and harbor bacteria.

I paint the bottom of my wood hutches, so they can be bleached and cleaned easier. I also use litter boxes and my rabbits are completely trained so it's never an issue. You can also put linoleum remnants down which are easy to clean and wipe down. When I kep my rabbits in my room I used a piece of scrap linoleum as a floor and it was great. It swept up clean and I could wipe it down easy. When it got real messy (or about once a month) I just took it out and hose it/bleached it. Super easy to clean.
