What are your interests in rabbits? If it is wanting to breed to the standard and show Rex's, then you can look online for breeders in your area/state. If it is to have a house pet, then you can look for rescues in your area or shelters.

Rabbits are lovely creatures, but it takes a lot more than just wanting bunnies...it takes a ton of research before you take home a bunny.

Have a look around and ask questions :biggrin2:!

Well, I want to show Rex's, actually. Most folks in Oklahoma just have mini's though, and I want starndards, to be different, I guess, so tryin to find folks that breed standards is rough! I wouldnt mind adoptin 'em either, though. Just dont know where to go for that.

You should do a ton of research about breeding and the Rex breed...then start emailing or calling out of state breeders, if there are not Rex breeders in your state. You can either drive out of state to a show to pick up bunnies or you can have bunnies flown in on air planes....both choices are rather expensive.

All in all, breeding bunnies is expensive. It will be very expensive to start up your rabbitry with buying cages and supplies. Finding high quality show Rex's can cost you an arm and a leg, as well.

Make sure you are prepaired and have a plan, then contact breeders :). We also have many great breeders on this forum, who can share some advice with you.

Well, I used to show rabbits when I was in FFA, so I know a bit about that; I showed Cali's and New Zealands for a long time, but then I saw some one with a Rex(no clue where he got it from)and I've wanted one ever since... thats been quite a few years! I aint raised rabbits in about 10 years, but I still have the cages and such.
