Hi all! My name is Annie, and I run a smallchinchilla rescue out of my home here, in Wheeling, WV. I've been doingchinchilla rescue for a few years now, and I absolutely love my littlecritters. Two and a half weeks ago, I was at my local Tractor SupplyCompany picking up bedding for my furballs, and one of the managersapproached me. He said that they had a "mean bunny" that they couldn'tsell. He asked if I could take him and find him a good home...I said"Sure!" Little did I know, I'd fall in love with the bun! They saidthat he had bitten a kid and drew blood on him...when I walked by thecages, there were little kids poking at the bunnies. If I was a bunny,I would have bitten him too!! Anyway, I got him home and he was thesweetest thing! He has one straight ear and one floppy ear, which makesme smile every time I look at him. I named himGeorgie...I'msure a lot ofbun-lovers are familiarwith the Looney Tunes episode where Bugs is picked up by the abominablesnowman, who says "I will call him George and I will hug him andsqueeze him and pet him and love him..."

Without further ado, meet Georgie!!!

I forgot to mention...he's having some health issues that I'm going topost about over in the infirmary. If anyone can help with that, I'dappreciate it!!

Aww poor little boy. I cringe when I see little kids poking and tryingto pick little bunnies up. I feel so sorry for them. I agree, if I werea bunny I'd bite the kids too!

I hope one ear stays floppy and one stays up!!It's just beyond cute!!! And he has one of the noses that just BEG tobe kissed! I lay kisses on him constantly...except when he was sneezy,then I just let him be.

Welcome to the forum. Your Georgie is very adorable. I'm glad he's getting better.

I am fostering 2 chinchillas myself and they are now my second favoriteanimal after bunnies. They entertain me for hours on end.
