Figured i could try joining a Bunnie forum.

Lost my little guy at only 5 to kidney disease, he was a little single mane lionhead.

Decided to get another bun, Brought one home on friday night, little brown girl. Spent satuday looking at a new cage I had been eyeing up for my first bun, decided that if i was getting a larger cage, i would have room for a second bun and a friend for the little girl.... So i went and picked up her brother Sunday morning.

Also managed to get my hands on 60ish of those wire pannels for about 45$ so once these 2 learn where to go to the bathroom, they get a new home. So we're snooping around here for ideas on how i want to build it or what to use for the floor or shelves or anything.

These guys also share the house with 3 dogs, 4 cats, 6 birds, some snakes, Bearded dragons and a crazy little Rat.

Heres my new guys, born March 2nd. Their Lionhead x Lop, What would their colours be called? No names yet.

I love those little faces. I see no problem with them being in the same cage as long as they are "fixed" would help with future issues.
Yup, the moment they drop their coming off. Will probably have the girl done too, just not sure at what age I want to get her done, or if i should just have them done at the same time, no babys here.

Thanks!

The male looks like a Vienna Marked. I am not sure what the rest of the colour would be. This does mean that either his parents where vienna marked or carriers or one of them is a Blue Eyed White rabbit.
I am not sure about the female, but maybe a tort? She would probably be a vienna carrier too.

The female can be spayed when she is about 5-6 months old, but ask your vet about it. I would keep them apart after the male is neutered as he can still be fertile for a few weeks and some females do mature faster than others.
Keep in mind that while rabbits do tend to get along as babies, they don't always stay that way once they mature. So after both are fixed, you may have to work to re-bond them.

They are so cute! Welcome to RO.

It's cold and rainy on the North-East coast as well. I thought this was spring? Oh yeah, April showers.... *shrugs*

Let me welcome you to Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it.

Many bunny's recommend their slaves to this site so we may learn of others methods to keeping our furry masters happy.

Your bunny's are beautiful.

If you everhave a sick bunny, please post in The Infirmary and include your rabbit's age, breed and health history as well diet and output details leading up to the problem.

I have listed some links I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How To Bond With Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo. Many people also use Photobucket. You just copy the img file and paste it into the post.

I am glad you have joined rabbits online and I look forward to seeing you around.

Thanks

I think she said one of the parents had blue eyes but i honestly cant remember, regardless their still cute!

Im trying to figure out to do with these pannel things ( why are they called NIC cubes?) The little connecter peices... im guessing its better off if the flat peices are on the inside? or does it really matter? they seem on the harder side, not too chewable, but im lost as to what i should use as a floor.

The connectors are a huge pain to use. I have to use pliers to hold the grids close enough then a hammer to get the connector on tight enough. Zip ties are much easier to use. What I would do it first plan a rough idea of what you want. Then put the girds together in 2X2 panels, then put these together until you have the size you want. If you plan it right, you can add the level in when you are doing this to save zip ties. Add the roof, one grid at a time seems to work well so it all doesn't fall in. For doors, I like them to be 2X2 so there is good access to clean and get a rabbit out.
It can be a good idea to melt the tip of the ties (after you cut them) to get rid of the sharp edges and save yourself some scratches. You can file them down instead if you would prefer.

I made them a little "run" in the living room with pannels as the floor and ceiling for easy movement, and used the little corner peices and i really like how sturdy it is, I can drag it accross the living room no problem, and I think i have enough to do a cage with the connector peices but i will have extra pannels i may use to add onto the x-pen they will have in the summer. But will they chew them?

Right now i just have a heavy duty waterproof blanket down as the floor with towels ontop of that, so their not right on the wire, but this is just for the living room/deck, this isnt their cage yet.

Any recomendations on a good bunny dewormer? Our vet is looking into it just curious to hear what others have used for their buns.
