I thought I had 2 female rabits so I kept them in the same hutch, however in january I was surprisingly greeted with a nest with 4 baby rabbits inside!
but due to me not finding out she had babies straight away the male rabbit must have impregnated her again before I could seperate them because the mother had just had some more babies.
So right now, we have three 4 week old bunnies and four 2 day old bunnies. But the big bunnies keep sleeping in the newborns nest (literally on top of them!)
The newborns are fine still, but id rather stop them doing it if I could?
Is there any tips you can give me please?
P.s. Im getting the male castrated on thursday so Im hoping to move the big babies with him a few days afterwards - I would still let them spend time with their mum for a little while each day so they can still feed.
