How to bunny proof a tower fan ?

I have a VERY expensive tower fan that I want to use (my parents', and I cannot imagine their reactions if the bunnies were to chew through the cord). Since it is a floor fan, how do I bunny proof the cable?

You can buy hard plastic cord protectors at home improvement stores, like this one:

They're pretty cheap, so it's a good option to use.

You could use some comand hooks (or tape) and tape the cord up high on the wall and block the area off with NIC pannels.
