My Holland lop rabbit is currently pregnant and I'm planning on selling some of the babies. What are some good ways to advertise? Are there any good websites online?

I will be hanging flyers around my town but I don't know if I should post an add on craigslist, my local newspaper, ect.

Any advice will be appreciated! :)

I would make a webs or weebly website. I have sold many of my extra Mini Rexes that way. Or attend a local show. I usually sold my brood and show quality rabbits there.

i used craigs list to sell my rat babies i kept a few, but i made sure they went to good homes i met the people in person and could tell by talking to them and how the handled them they were experienced with rats. i also asked for a picture of their current set up so that i could verify they were going to an actual home as i really didnt want them being sold as snake food. one person i met did not seem like they wanted my rats for pets. so i just told them im not comfortable giving my rats to them and left found them a different home.

i believe you have the right to choose who they go to if for whatever reaon youre uncomfortable with who the prospective buyer is even if you find them from craigslist and make them meet you somewhere (in a neutral place of course bring a friend like i did dont go alone ) you can always say no! for whatever reason. it is important that you have the ability to choose!

It depends on the quality of the babies and what you're selling them for. As far as selling pets, places like Craigslist or flyers around town or in the newspaper are best. That's how most people who want a pet will find you. You can always do phone or email interviews that way to help weed out anyone who is not serious about their inquiry.

If you have show or breeding quality rabbits for sale, those outlets will not work as well because reputable breeders don't often lurk classifieds sites looking for herd quality animals. A rabbitry website is better and more credible. Selling at shows is a great way too, as mentioned. However, these options would come later down the road since you won't be able to determine which kits are show or breeding quality until they are closer to 4-6 months old.

I use mainly word of mouth, my website, Craiglist, a few rabbit selling groups of facebook. The craiglist is usually last option fo rme, I also use Rabbit Talk in Ohio(I'm in Kentucky so Ohio's not far from me) So it does depend on where you are and everything.
