for a 6 month old dwarf lop how much pellets should he have in a day ,lots of you measure by the cup but am unsure of the cup size you mean i have i measuring cup for my bread maker but it looks too much ,how much would one cup weight ? thanks

The general rule is 1/4 cup per 5 pounds of body weight. I am not 100% sure of dwarf lop weights, but he should not need more than 1/4 cup right now, if he gains weight as he gets older, you can give more.
The cup is a standard measuring cup (the kind you use for baking). Not sure if it make a difference, but some recipes use the metric amounts, which makes 1 cup about 250ml. The weight of 1 cup of pellets varies by brand, some weight more than others.

I'm reading out of one of my favorite rabbit handbooks and it says for a 7 wks - 7 months the rabbit the pellet amount should be unlimited. 7 months to 1 year you start limiting pellets, then after 1 year the rabbit is fed off of weight guidelines.

Thanks guys so much for those replies he`s on excel junoir for dwarf rabbits but i believe the fat content is higher then the standard adult rabbit excel, plus he`s looking rather perfect to well fed on it LOL.i dont want him to be tubby ,i suppose weighing him would help i`ll also ring the vets and ask his weight when he was weighed 7 wks ago when he was neutered, thanks again

He should still receive unlimited pellets at 6 months , however , you may want to slowly change over to a less rich pellet although analfalfa pellet is still fine
