Sophie's Humble Servant

I've had Sophie for about 4 months now. I've learned a lot about her in this time but I still have so many questions!
She has a large 4 story condo and she has access to my living room and more recently part of the kitchen when I am at home. I work from home so basically the door to her condo is open all day and evening.

I sort of thought she would be prowling and running around more?
This is her schedule:
8am I open the door.
Midnight or 1am I shut the door.

She comes out as soon as I open the door at 8am and does a lot of running, binkying and prowling about for about 15 minutes. After that she eats, drinks, poops and lays down. She sort of goes in and out of her condo until about 11-11:30am.
Then she's sleeping/relaxing...can't tell which because her eyes always look half open lol.
Around 2-3pm she comes out for a prowl, does some digging, walks around but no running or binky.
She sometimes comes out again around 6pm but not always. Again, just prowling, walking around.
9-10pm she's a wild woman!! Racing, jumping, shivering, shaking, flying about, racing up and down her condo and spinning in circles, really going crazy for about 15 minutes. Then rest and prowl then she just likes to lay on the rug outside her condo. She usually goes in by herself around midnight but sometimes she wants to run again around 1am.

Is this normal activity level for a rabbit? She's at least 2 years old but her exact age is unknown. The vet says she's in excellent health and I've recently found out that her weight is consistent and good for her size.

Thanks for reading...my posts tend to be long and detailed lol

That sounds pretty normal to me!
Ellie does basically the same thing. I open her cabinet at like 10-11am depending on the day and she comes out, binkies around, popcorns and does whatever. Then she eats a little bit, goes behind the laundry hamper and flops out for a while. Then a few hours later, she'll get up and eat/poop and lay in front of her cabinet and flop out. Then she'll get up and scratch and chew up her cabinet and then go lay back down. Then late at like like 10-11pm she goes insane. She binkies and popcorns and gets into trouble and then I put her up at like midnight. She doesn't go into her cabinet by herself though, I have to lure her in with a raisin. haha.

Like right now, she's behind the hamper. When I come into the kitchen she gets up sometimes, but most of the time she'll perk an ear up and stays there.

I think most rabbits do things like that. They're...I forget the word, but more active in the morning and evenings and sleepy during the day. Like sharks. You'll notice when you ride down the road, you'll see wild rabbits out in the morning and evening more than the middle of the day. Plus its summer time and its hot out and they relax and try to stay cool when its hot!

Crepuscular is the word you are looking for, most active at dawn and dusk. My guy is the exact same way, active early AM and late PM, sleeps all day. Wish I had his schedule!

NDrABiTs58041...binkie is when they will jump into the air and usually twist themselves a bit while running around.

Thumper is the same way. he'll be very active in the morning and then later around 9-10pm. Usually at some point during the afternoon he'll get up and have a snack and wander around a bit but that's it. Although now with two new buns in the house he is being extra active but still spends a good bit of the day just lazing around. However, some buns are just more active than others.

Ok thanks everyone:) Sounds like Sophie is a normal rabbit:)
