The story which leads to why I am asking can be found in my blog... >_<

Anyway, just in case, how far along can you tell for sure if their is a pregnancy and can palpate?

What other things should I watch for?

No, this definitely was not planned. So here is to hoping it's really nothing. :)

I believe 14 days is the average. Between different things I've read and heard it can be done anywhere between 12-15 days.

I palpate at different times with some does, one of mine I palpated every other day since I didn't feel anything at all, until the day before she kindled, her belly was very hard and had little objects in it, and she kindled 7 the next day. :)

I agree with CoolWaterRabbitry. It's hard to say since it's different each doe but in my experience the larger the doe the earlier you can feel them. (Sometimes lol!) Smaller breeds are difficult so keep trying, daily if needed. Remember to be gentle.

Regardless if you don't feel anything and if you don't know the exact date of the breeding PUT A NEST BOX IN ANYWAY at an approximate kindle date. There is no harm in throwing one in around the time she may or may not kindle. It's much safer than waking up to DOA or chilled kits.

Alright thanks. I really think we caught them in time since we WERE supervising them but with bunnies you never really know, or am I just being paranoid? Jeff did say they seemed to be going at it when he reached them but I think he managed to interrupt them before any harm was done. I'm really not wanting babies so I hope al will be okay. If she does have any though, I want to be prepared so no one else suffers from that mishap as much as possible. :expressionless

They can be really quick but hopefully your buck was just messing around lol. Sort off topic a little bit but it can be hard to tell what they are really doing sometimes. I have a Holland who makes the entire cage shake. He gets way too into it. In contrast my mini rex buck is so quite about it unless your paying attention closely you won't know.
