How do you make a French Lop?

I read somewhere that a French Lop was developed from a English Lop and a Flemish Giant, is this true. Does anyone know how? Does? Bucks? How many generations?

huh. i never heard that. i'm interested to see what some of the breeders have to say...................... breeding animals/making new breeds/mutationshas always interested me

According to Bob Whitman's excellent book on the history of domestic rabbits, the French Lop was developed in the mid 1850's in France using English Lops, Giant Normand/Picard and Rouennais breeds.
