Hey guys!

Just wanna say I wished I had the time to breed rabbits. I used to breed birds many moons ago and it always SO much fun!

Anyway, I adopted a Holland lop which came second hand from a local ARBA youth breeder of Holland and English lops. All I know is that she's a tort? Or tortoise?? according to ARBA website, she is a tort but could be either black, blue, lilac, or... I forget what the fourth is. How do I know?

She looks like she is molting and this is a horrible time to tell colors sometimes.

I can see black tort but really I also agree with Chestnut Agouti. The black ticking all over her body is what makes me say that. It would be best to get a picture when she finishes her coat but in the mean time heres a picture of my Chestnut Agouti Britannia Petite Rocky to give you an example.

Oh I also wanted to add. The white lacing around the eyes and nose are a give away that the rabbit is some kind of agouti marked. Here is an example of a black tort lop. Notice no white lacing.

Awesome thank you!!!!

I compared some pictures of torts and agoutis and she definitely looks like a chestnut agouti.

I guess I coulda asked the breeder too but she has a tendency to cut communications with me for long stretches. Lol!! Maybe I've driven her nutts with all my questions.

Anyway thanks again!!!!
