Well, most rabbits don't need company all the time, even when living in pairs they spend time apart. It really depends on the individual character if a mate increases the quality of life.
Here, it's even illegal to keep pet rabbits alone (mine are lifestock anyway, so that doesn't apply) - stupid law, creats more problems than it solves.
I have had my herd buck (free range house bunny) alone for about 2 years, but although he could contact the does through the fence I got the impression that he was lonely (well, it might be that I, being single, just projected my feelings on him...) and kept one of his daughters as his cuddlebun.
Worked out great, I feel better now.
Two rabbits need more space, food, resources, poop more and it isn't always sunshine. On the other hand, watching my buns cuddle up is the most soothing sight I can get.
So, imho the actual question is, Do you want a second rabbit.
