How do I know if my bunny has been neutered?

Our new and first bunnyis arescue someone turned loose. I eventually want to get him a friend, but want to make sure he is fixed first. How do I know? He has been a great bunny. No spraying, and goes potty in his crate. We leave his door open, and have a playpen fence allowing him more room to roam outside of crate. If only he and I could sit and have a chat.
