How can I stop my bunny to bite his wound?

Hi, My Mini Rex has a wound in his back and he doesn't let the wound gets healed. He hates the cone I put for him and right after I remove it, he starts to bite that area again.
Do you know any safe oil or ointment for Bunnies to stop him from biting his wound?
some thing with a smell or taste that Rabbit hates? I appreciate if you help me with this situation.

What caused the wound on his back?

I don't know exactly, He was playing back yard and probably he got scratched on bushes, I noticed it later that night, It was a small scratch at first, I cleaned it and put antibiotic for him, but he keeps the wound fresh by biting it.

I would suspect the wound either itches or is painful and that's why he keeps messing with it. Are you still putting antibiotic ointment or anything else on it? Could you take a clear close up photo of it and post it here? Might help to get a look at it so we maybe know what to suggest.

Sure, this is two pictures which I took today, He is wearing his cone from last week and it helped a lot. Luckily the wound is getting better, But the problem is he hates the cone and he refuse to use his litter box while wearing the cone. So frustrating to clean up his mess all day. It doesn't seem painful or itchy. He is playful and eats well. Yes I spray Banixx, twice a day.

So Cool! It looks very comfortable! Thank for sharing! but I am not sure how much it can be practical for my bunny's situation. I just imagining if he wear this he can easily bend and reach his back to chew himself again.

One reason he might be paying too much attention to the wound and keeps messing with it, is because of the product you're applying to the wound. That will continue to draw a rabbits attention to an area in an attempt to groom and clean it off, and so keep drawing his attention to the wound. Was the wound showing signs of infection, or is it showing signs now, that an antibacterial is needed? Or any other particular reason you're using the banixx? Have you taken him to the vet to have this checked, and the vet gave you the cone to use?

You could try a pet shirt. They're sometimes used after a spay/neuter surgery to prevent the rabbit messing with the incision site, and can cause less issues with rabbits than using a hard cone.

they sell a lot of soft ones online in different sizes ? I also saw a soft shirt online for bunnies but only large sizes were available. Look on Amazon. I agree that he should be seen by vet . It could be something he came in contact with outside ,best to have it looked at

Thank you very much for your great advises. I didn't go to the vet but I stopped using the banixx and other medicine, tried just keep that area cleaned, He was wearing his new cone last few days, He likes this one because he could eat easily, but same time had hard time to reach his back. Luckily he is feeling much better. Thank again. ♥
