home made cage!

So I've had a my bun for 4 months and he's coming inside for the winter. I want to build a hutch that has a pull out bottom. I don't want the bottom to be wire though!! Any ideas how i can make my dream come true so it won't cost more than 50$!? Or is there any place i can buy any?? Pics would be great of what you use or something!!

Do you want him to be above the bottom or just have it slide out? I don't think there are many options if you want him to be above the bottom other than wire as the waste would fall through the wire. If you just want a bottom that you can pull out, you could try a wire dog crate as some of them have pans that can easily pull out. You would still have to take your rabbit out of the cage when you need to clean as he won't have anything to sit on when you pull the pan out, unless there is another area of the cage he can go to.

Try looking on classified ad sites such as craigslist then for a used cage. Good luck.

43 bucks for a pen Then your bunny will have a proper amount of space for the winter. Super easy clean up too, just dump the litterbox every 2 or so days. And come summer, it folds up completely flat.
