Hello
Again a few questions about my lop.
•Those who have a holland lop do you have a hard time seeing their face or is it just me he is black? It’s hard to take a look at his eyes too, he always has eye boogers why is that?
•My holland lop makes a weird noise I searched for the noises he makes on the internet but nothing. It’s like a clicking sound hard to explain it almost like an alien noise that I would hear in a movie lol\_(••’)_/ do your bunnies do that?
•He’s on his last does tomorrow for sniffles tomorrow but still sneezes here and there? Is that normal..
•Another question about his eye I cannot tell if the are red on the outside rim because he is so dark also the inside of his ears were there’s a crease is red like his eye. I feel like it can be his nails irritating it but I’m not sure. I cut them and they still sharp and are short nails too. My other buns nails are not sharp at all like his. Could it be his nails causing redness?
•very fast breathing when he is done playing or taking his medication he breathes very fast? My other bun does not breathe as fast as him. Could it be that his sniffles aren’t going away?

Okay I think that’s it 🤔
So many questions phew.. thanks in advance for a response!

Hi, this weird noise is actually a very good sign it means kinda purring that he is very happy, it's probably when you pet him :) Yes my rabbits do that when they are happy, but not all.

They all can have eye boogers you just remove them with your hand or a cotton pad/cloth, it's normal if you don't wash your face every morning you'd also have them so nothing unusual

Hi Zuppa
The weird noise does sound weird my other bun does purr but it does not sound like an alien movie lol 😂
Thanks do your bunny get them every day? because he usually has some everyday then go away.

Well I don't know any other explanation, they can grind their teeth when in pain but I believe it's not what you mean? I have a few rabbits they do it every time I hold them and pet on their head, or just pet, I know they are very happy when they do that :)

•I think you can't see his face because he is black. Just like zuppa said, eye boogers are normal. Theo gets them every morning so I just wipe them out when I give him a nose rub. You said the eye boogers are there sometimes, but then they go away. That is probably because he is cleaning his face.
•Just like zuppa said, it is probably rabbit purring. Sometimes they grind their teeth in pain, but that is normally very loud. The sound of rabbit purring would vary from rabbit to rabbit because all rabbits are different.
•If his sneezing gets worse after his last dose then I would ask the vet what to do. Is his hay dusty? Sometimes if dust gets in their nose it causes them to sneeze. Is his nose wet or dusty?
•It might be his nails causing this. You can file his nails with an emery board after cutting them to soften out the edges.
•After playing it is normal for rabbits to be out of breath. Is he inhaling his medicine? That might be one reason why he breathes fast after taking his medicine.

Thank you I thought It wasn’t normal I’ll start wiping his away. I think it might be because he is black and a squished lol

That’s true probably his own way of saying I’m happy 👽

It’s here and there sometime it’s not continuous. I’m thinking I also might be dust. I was thinking also since maybe the previous owners put perfume on him he is more sensitive to smells.

Thanks I’ll try that:)
