The ears lop anywhere from 2 weeks to never. Ideally, they "should" lop by 6-8 weeks, but some may maintain a lot of ear control throughout their lives.
my first rabbit, Blaze, he was almost 4 months before his ears lopped over. I just held them down every other day to daily to the side of his head and now they're beautiful- other than one of the judges thinks they're too long, but I think it's from his BEW father who had longer ears.
My baby lops all had their ears droop at different times - sometimes it was 3-4 weeks, the others followed later.
Wow Pam, 20+yrs? I just might have to pick your brains, lol.
So far all the buns I've had, the Hollands are my favorite.
Mine aren't show, just pet, but I fell in love with their personality and temperament.
A number of years ago, my son was one of the top open breeders in the nation and the #1 Holland Lop breeders in Ohio. We still have some Hollands in the barn, but rarely show them anymore.
I don't really have any photos of our Hollands on our site any longer so here's one for you. His name is Shen. On one of his few times out showing when he was young, he won a Best In Show. He's one of the guys still in our barn.
last night i went to her house and she had two to pick from so i got the nicer one she just turned 8 weeks old yesterday.
She is an albino female.
I use to have a male lop eared rabbit that was albino when i was 8.
I just LOVE lop eared rabbits and there personality's!
I will try and post a pic soon.
I named her Rose.
Awww, sweet - another Rose (mine is Rosie)
Funny thing is, my oldest (now 19yrs.old) would name EVERY pet of hers Rosy...she just LOVED the name.
Please posts pic when you can.
