Colby, our 3 year old Holland lop needs a new home. He's a wonderful/sweet guy but I'm in college and my parents lack the time to take care of him. He's neutered and totally litter box trained. Seeking home in the Boston, metro-west area. He'd be OK with (calmer) kids as he's pretty patient, but the older the better :). Not a biter or a digger, but needs someone with the time to give him lots of love/petting that he has grown accustomed to! Indoor home only please, we'd pass on his cage/any other materials needed!

Please cross-post this in our Rescue section. Can you not have a rabbit with you at college? Our rescue is based in a college town (Gainesville, FL) and we have a large number of students that foster rabbits for us in their dorm rooms.

I'll do that,I'm new here so I'm still exploring the site! I'd love to have him in our dorm, but we have a strict no-pets policy which results in the animal being taken away if you're caught...I'm also in school out of state and wouldn't want to risk the 12 hour drive in a hot car. But I will post it there as well! Thanks!

Wow, Patti, students near you are commonly allowed to have pets in the dorms? All the colleges around here allow nothing more than fish!

Yes, FSU does allow rabbits in the dorm. I'm not sure about other animals. It is really a blessing for us! We have a LOT of students that want to foster. We do run into a problem during breaks and summertime, but overall it works out very nicely.

wow thats a really cool set up the college has. I couldnt have any pets last year in my dorm. I live off campus now so Lulu got to come, but yeah, our dorm doesnt allow ANYTHING but a fish in less than a 10 gallon tank

Well, both you and Krista live in California. They are sooppressive in a lot of respects, which is why I moved away 5 years ago. (NO offense intended!!!!)

Yeah I'm working on getting a photo upof him; right now they're all on a computer back home. I can assure you that he'svery cute though-his color is called otter,so he's a niceblend of black/grey/white. His name means 'coal-miner,'which you'll probably understand when I post a photo :)
