Has anyone got their holiday booked for this year yet?

Weren't able to go away last year due to my having to leave full time employment after a back operation so we couldn't afford it. Looks like it will be the same this year too - particularly as the £ is to desperate at the moment; might aswell stay at home!

lol I have a savings account and have saved, oooh, let me see, £20 so far towards this year's holiday! Might pay for one night at a camp site !

Now, I'm looking for all of you who are heading off to white sands, palm trees and blue, blue seas, so that I can join you in the anticipation, if nothing else.

Oops .. can one of the mods please alter the title to 2009 .. *chuckle*

OOOH, yes, yes I have! Booked it November last year, been saving since 06 hehe. Were coming to London via Seoul for 4 days then off to Italy and Paris! Me and my Gma are off, April 3rd to May 3rd.

Camping can be fun and really beautiful! Hunt around for a lovely place! If not ship in some white sand and blow up palm trees make some pina coladas you'll be having an exotic holiday without having to leave the house!!

Me and my friends have actually done that lol, we went down to the beach and loaded my friends car up with buckets of sand hehe, your own tropical paradise in the middle of winter hehe. Yeap, first time to London, first long haul overseas trip, been to Aussie a few times but thats on like a few hours..

I think I am going away to France (Paris/Versailles)with my family during the February half term holiday, but I'm not totally sure about that yet.

Also me and a few of my friends are also trying to plan a holidayfor this summer after our exams to get some r&r, although 6 teenage girls trying to book a holiday isn't the most organised thing in the world so we'll have to see how that one pans out!:pFrom the way it's going now we'll probably end up just having a few days in London or somewhere.:)

I think my parents are going up to Scotland this summer as welland are expecting me to go with them, but I'm not sure I want to really. This is my last proper summer at home (before I go off to uni) so I want to make the most of it here.:)

Farthest I've ever gone is Wales on a ferry, we stayed in that holiday resort place Pontins, I was only about 6 or 7, I've never been on a plane or on a proper foreign holiday. I have 5 other brothers and sisters so it would cost us a fortune to go anywhere, we were looking into Poland since that wouldn't cost too much but I don't think that's going ahead. I'll be going to Barcelona with school in my last year, in one and a half school years so that should be good. I'm dying to go to the US though.

We're hoping to get a week somewhere sometime towards the end of the year. Last year we missed a week in Kefalonia, all booked and paid for because I ended up in hospital with Glandular Fever the week before and wasn't safe to fly :( I'm still sore about that. We had hardly any sun here last year and I was looking forward to some! :(

We did however get a FANTASTIC week in San Francisco in November, and found the place we want to move to someday lol. And the year before we had 2 amazing weeks in Sri Lanka, including a 5 day tour round the country. It was an unforgettable holiday.

We haven't decided where to go this year yet, we prefer more things to see and do holidays than just laying about on a sunbed for a whole week (although I do like to do some of that!), but we don't know what we can do just yet, since we've just ordered a new sofa! Hopefully somewhere nice and sunny at least :)

I am holding out a lot of hope for the British Summer being a lot better this year..... LOL! :disgust:Silly Jen! Sun in the UK? :laughsmiley:

Agghhh .. I would have gutted too, to have missed a holiday to Kefalonia .. I love that island.

Did a sneaky a couple of years back .. I had back surgery on the 4th July and went on holiday to Santorini on the 12th - naughty of me really, but I wasn't going to miss my holiday. I was fine actually .. even ended up hiring quad bikes for a couple of days.

We don't have any concrete plans yet. Out best friend is taking his 52' sailboat over to the Bahamas for a few months and we have been thinking about flying over and spending a week or two on the boat withhim.

I did similar about 5 ago! I had surgery on my back for an abscess, and there was a family holiday planned for about 5 days after. I was kind of hoping I wouldn't be able to go, so I could stay with my new boyfiend lol, but my consultant said going to Spain would be an EXCELLENT idea, and that the sea water and some lying about would do wonders for my healing. Well it did, but the flight was agony and so was walking anywhere more than a few meters so my poor mum and dad had to drive us to dinner one night instead of us all walking and being able to have a drink lol.

Ok, now I really want to be in Spain, eating prawns and swimming in the sea! :X
