Hiccup is the smallest in a litter of four (sadly now three) Eastern cottontails discovered in my backyard, about to be the meal or playthings of a neighborhood cat. We brought them in and kept a discreet watch for the mother for a few days, but we live in town and have lots of cats and a few dogs around, not to mention decently busy roads, so we fear she'd already been gone a day or so by the time we found them, crawling away from the best, their eyes still closed. Hiccup was lethargic and not staying warm, but seems to be doing well, although still a bit on the small side. Very sweet, loves to cuddle.
