Hey, I'm new obviously. :DI've wanted a rabbit for awhile and have been researching like a nut about them and just recently fell in love with one online. He's a handicapped rabbit on his left side. I'm not sure exactly how or anything about the rabbit yet because someone was interested in him already but I'm waiting for an email today to see if I could pick him up or not, and if not I'll be rescuing a rabbit from the shelter. I thought I would join and learn a little bit more about how to care for my rabbit properly once we add one to the family.

This rabbit won't be our only pet in the family. I'm also owned by a dog, two cats, five ferrets, four hamsters, four mice, an american toad, a gecko, a cornsnake, two turtles, two betta fish and a couple of goldfish. :biggrin2:We're an animal loving family, and I'm hoping our rabbit will be the last addition for awhile now. :innocent

Anyways nice to meet you all! :)

Five ferrets .. SHEESH ! :p That must of been one fun household to walk through. haha, welcome, and im excited for you. I find bunny antics to be absoulutly adorable.

Welcome!

Thank you :biggrin2:Unfortunately the rabbit I wanted was already given away so I'll start looking for a newone to give a happy home too soon. Hopefully my dad would agree with it though, he only wanted the one I wanted at first because of his handicap. :expressionless

Dang you got me beat. I'm owned by two dogs(doberman and a whippet), 1 leopard frog(my sons), three fish tanks(one is a 55 gallon), and four rabbits and counting. Seems like rabbit owners are into more then just one animal. I might have a daughter who's into breeding and showing but we would also like to adopt a bunny or two.

Let me welcome you to Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it.

Many bunny's recommend their slaves to this site so we may learn of others methods to keeping our furry masters happy.

If you everhave a sick bunny, please post in The Infirmary and include your rabbit's age, breed and health history as well diet and output details leading up to the problem.

I have listed some links I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How To Bond With Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo. Many people also use Photobucket. You just copy the img file and paste it into the post.

I am glad you have joined rabbits online and I look forward to seeing you around.

LindyS, that sounds awesome. :biggrin2:Our animal 'pack' just keeps on growing but I think I've gotten to my limit now so I'm trying to stop looking at websites and in petstores lmao.

Also I'm super excited, tomorrow we're going to pick up our new bunny...hopefully. I'm not sure yet, I'm waiting for an email back for a time to pick him/her up. I got way too excited and forgot to ask for age and sexe. :rollseyesIt's extremely adorable though and looks healthy. I'll ask more questions once we get to go pick him/her up and it'll be an experience to learn more about rabbits along the way and hoping one doesn't lead to several in the future. :innocent

Welcome to the forum Skits. :welcome1

Good for you to start asking questions and finding out as much as you can before getting a bunny. Where are you getting this new bunny?

Wabbitdad12, that's what I'm afraid of. :D

And pet_bunny, thank you. And we're getting him from an ad site, kijiji. I was really looking forward to rescuing one from the shelter but my dad had found him online and showed him to me and I just knew I had to have him. :p
