What a sweetie. I'm new to rabbits but I'll give it a shot.
Booey looks like a Chestnut Agouti (color) Marten. Martens are like Netherland Dwarfs (smaller rabbits). My Dobby is a Sable Marten. The reason I say marten is the coloring Booey has around his neck, under his chin and his mustache. Love the Marten mustaches. Also Chestnut Agouti is the color of a wild rabbit, the first color of rabbits, period.
Hope this helps a little. This is a great place to find out lots about bunnies.
Welcome to the forums From the face i saw some kind of lop (lops don't always have to have the lop ears) But in the second picture I saw dwarf mix. How much does the bunny weigh or if you could guess and do you know how old booey is? If hes still young it's actually quite hard to tell what breed he is until he grows up
He's about a year old now and the picture you saw was him as a baby sorry my friend responded for me when I was asleep and put the wrong photo .... I would say he is about 3-4 pounds roughly he's got a big cute bum and a cottontail....he is so well behaved and I don't cage him at all I trained him to use the cage so he can go in and out as he pleases to do his stuff. I have an idea that he may be mixed with an eastern cottontail but I wish I knew with what. If you can help me please let me know its been bothering me for a while.
This is examples of all the breeds recognized by the American Rabbit Breeders Association. He could be a mix of any of them. Do you have a recent picture of him besides the ones already given. Maybe of him laying down with his feet under him and sorts?
I don't know if it's true, but some people say that males don't need neutering the way females need to be spayed. Apparently the cancer risk is much less for males than females & if the hormones aren't raging then there's no real need.
He's very cute & welcome to the forum.
Thank you and yeah I've heard of that too he's super healthy I just wish I could take him out on the grass sometimes but he doesn't like his harness I got him and slips right out of it
