Well, when i bought my NIC panels, they came in 2 different sizes. 9 panels are regular size and 12 panels are wayy to big in the square. I can fit my whole hand through! And since my buns are really small, we can't use them except maybe for the floor because then we will put wood/plastic flooring OVER that. Has this ever happened to you guys?? If so, what do i do if I need more of the smaller ones because i don't want to have to buy another 1-2 $30 boxes if half of them i won't use!!:rollseyes

Yeah, they used to sell them with all the smaller squares and then a few years ago they added the bigger holes. I don't know if there are still any brands out there that don't have the smaller squares but typically people do what you're doing and use the bigger holes where they will be covered.

I am using the big ones for the floor, but we will have tiles or something over them :) I have heard stories about rabbits hanging themselves accidently because the holes were too big so i was petrified to use them on the roof!! But thats just me

yeah, the actual NIC brand cubes have that issue >< the ones I got from walmart and some other brands don't.

I know that the target brand ones have the big holes. Not sure about any other brands. We had all the pannels that we needed to build 2 good sized cages already laying around the house. I only had to buy the coroplast for my rabbit cages. We had most of the zip ties needed as well.
