Hi, I'm new! Introduction!

Hi all! My name is Michele, orShelly. I'm 13 years old, and I live in Pennsylvania. I am lookingforward to breeding black and tortoise Dutch rabbits. My parents arebuilding me a 'bunny barn', and I am really excited.

I also ride horses. I am more horsey than rabbity, but I like both!I've been on a horse bulliten board, and it's reallyhelpful. So, I decided to join a rabbit forum, because I need more helpwith rabbits than horses.

Anyways, I am already a member of the ARBA, and I haven't yet joinedthe Dutch Club. I am intested in meeting other Dutch breeders and justplain rabbit lovers!

I am looking for a couple breeding stock to show and breed. The'showing' is pretty much just at the local fair once a year, but Iwould like to do more if I was given the right oppertunity. Mygrandfather used to breed and judge Dutch, so he is helping me on thehunt.

Welcome to the forum. Just letting you know youwere responded to in the NEW MEMBERS (2006) forum. But anyways. Yourrabbit is gorgeous! I love her color. Very pretty! Have you looked onwww.arba.net yet for shows around yourarea. People breed and go show their rabbits. THey often sell eitherthe rabbit they are showing or their baby stock. You may find what youneed there. Plus you can look for breeders under the Dutch Clubwebsite. Well, welcome again!!

Also, have you tried looking at the American DutchRabbit Club website? It iswww.dutchrabbit.comTry them as I recall there were people in PA that advertised there.

bunnylover - Yup, I got my Domestic Rabbits magazineand I'm circling all the shows less than 3 hours away that I can goto.. There's on May 27 that is 1hr 40 mins away, and another June 4that is 2hr 41 minutes away. I also found Judges and Registrars so whenI start finding some Dutch I'll get them registered.
