:hello

Hey everybody. My name is Crystal. I am 18 and this has been my first year doing rabbits. I am not apart of ARBA or NMRRA as of yet but I plan to be.

:apollo:At this time I have 10 rabbits:

RHETT-BLACK AND WHITE BROKEN MINI REX SENIOR BUCK
PIXIE-BLACK MINI REX SENIOR DOE
SUMMER-CASTOR MINI REX JUNIOR DOE
ANGEL-BLACK AND WHITE BROKEN MINI REX JUNIOR DOE
BELLE-BLACK MINI REX JUNIOR DOE
PEANUTT-OPAL MINI REX/NETHERLAND DWARF SENIOR BUCK
ELLA-BLACK AND WHITE BROKEN MINI REX/MINI LOP/NETHERLAND DWARF SENIOR DOE
GIZMO-BLACK OTTER SATIN SENIOR BUCK
MOCHA-FAWN? FRENCH LOP SENIOR DOE
EINSTEIN-TORT LIONHEAD SENIOR BUCK

Rhett and Peanutt went to Canyon County and Western Idaho Fair this year. we did really well and I am so proud of my boys. at Canyon we got: 2nd mini rex buck 3rd overall mini rex and 4th overall cross bred. at western we got: 4H-Best of breed mini rex. 1st place fur. reserve best in show and reserve crossbreed. Open- 2nd place broken group mini rex buck, 1st fur, 1st roaster, grand meat rabbit. I was ecstatic. This year was just going to be a learning year but I blew everyone including myself out of the water. So now I will be breeding/raising mini rex rabbits. It has been an amazing year. I cant wait to get back to showing come spring!!!! :happyrabbit:

Wow! That is great! Nice to have another rabbit raiser here on the forum!

In case you didn't know, with the ARBA, there are rabbit shows all year round, except for the summer when it is too hot for the buns. The fall show season is starting now! Visit "The Rabbitry and Show Room" here on the forum with any questions you may have about showing or breeding and we will be glad to help you!

So, without further adue,

Let me welcome you to Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it.

Wow that is quite a herd you have. How did you get all those bunny's?

Many bunny's recommend their slaves to this site so we may learn of others methods to keeping our furry masters happy.

If you everhave a sick bunny, please post in The Infirmary and include your rabbit's age, breed and health history as well diet and output details leading up to the problem.

I have listed some links I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How To Bond With Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo. Many people also use Photobucket. You just copy the img file and paste it into the post.

I am glad you have joined rabbits online and I look forward to seeing you around.

thank you so much Dave in answer to your question. I was given most of my rabbits, some were bought.

:angelandbunny:

Rhett-I bought him for$10 because the people's daughter couldn't handle him.

Pixie-her owner was giving her mini rex's away for free. I got her papers for $5

Summer- I bought her for $15. she is my baby the people I got her from are breeding to rhett next weekend. and we are working on our rabbitries as well as hopefully getting a rabbit rescue going. knock on wood.

Angel and Belle-came from the Same person. They have some sores on their feet from being on bad ground. but they are getting better. They are also scared of people from the people chasin them around a hugedog run to catch them all the time. They were also in with a bunch of other does and bucks and were never able to eat right cause they were pushed away from the food by the older rabbits. so some trust and some weight issues. but they are eating alot better and are starting to trust me a little.

Peanutt-was given to me by some people who could no longer care for him. he has such a personality. lol. but a big baby. My frist rabbit who inspired me to show.

Ella came from a lady that breeds alot. I rescued her and two of her brothers who are now in good homes

Gizmo-Is my brothers baby. we bought him for $10. the girl was selling off her rabbits to go to college.

Mocha-was traded to me by one of my friends. He wanted one of my pups I wanted the rabbit. win win situation. She has become my dad's baby.

Einstein-was given to me by some one who could no longer afford to care for him.

just some background on the rabbits to help you understand their stories. they all show except for Mocha and Einstein who are just pets. The others show for their breed or for crossbred and meat(cause open doesn't have a crossbred class). but they are family pets as well and very loved. My dad is a trucker so is gone alot. so when he comes home the first thing he does is go see the rabbits. They know when he is coming home they all get really excited, especially Mocha and Peanutt. He will get up early in the morning to get my brother up for school and my sister for work and then he goes and feeds and waters and spends time with the rabbits. lol!

Here is a pic of Ella the only pic on my computer right now. not the best pic and it was taken back in july so she is bigger now.

Mocha

Well what do you guys think? Anyone Know what color Mocha is?

Crystal

He looks more like a harlequin. Torts only have dark points which would be the nose and tips of ears with few shading on the rump. The dark color over the back leads me to believe harlequin. Very beautiful btw

For reference.

Black Tort

Harlequin
Not the best picture but see how much darker the black is and its over the entire body
