Hi there, I'm Theresa. I live in a suburb of Atlanta, GA, and I am new to rabbits.

I don't have any yet, but I have decided on the standard Rex breed. I've spent a couple months looking for local breeders, and finally found one.

Since I am in no hurry to get my bunnies (I'm aiming at springtime), my time between now and then will be spent researching rabbit husbandry.


Could y'all recommend some bunny books?

The Storey Guide is first on my list to buy and read, I was wondering if any of you had any opinions on this book, or have other books to recommend?

I would go to the American Rabbit Breeders Association website, www.arba.net, they have a good book about raising rabbits, called Raising Better Rabbits and Cavies. Another book I like is Rabbits for Dummies, it has a lot of good information in it.

i have the Rabbits for Dummies book which i have found most helpful. also there will always be someone on the forum who can help too!
