Hi,

I have read your post and am glad to find someone in Thailand who likes rabbits. I recently went toBangkok and was very upset to find rabbits inseveral pet shopsat the night marketLumpini park. One pair were kept in a wire cage on the floor there nails were so long and twisted and one of them had gnawed the bars so hard that it had split its little nose in 2 and it had healed into a hard scab (not aconstant twitching nose here!) I could of bought all of them just to rescue them. Have you been and seen them?

yeah i know the shop, but i can say that this shop may not good enough for you, but it still be the best in Thailand, the others are worse.

In thailand the rabbit that been sold are 2 weeks-old and cause of lost due to young age.

There are no special vet for rabbit in Thailand, i loss my 2 rabbits becuase the wrong diagnosis of the vet.

now i try to read as much as i can to study about my rabbits.

i am not sure that you went to Jatujak market or not, it worse!! than this shop.

nice to meet you

Welcome to RO!!:p
So good to have you here and from Thailand, very cool.
We are all rabbit mad here, so you will get the best advice and support you need:biggrin2:

Welcome! I read your thread about Mai Kward... I hope she gets better soon! Wry neck is scary :?
I'm sure you'll find enough information to take care of your rabbits much better than the pet stores there :) Probably better than the veterinarians, too, from what it seems like.
Hope you like the forum!

Hi,

I am pleased that youhave replied to my email.

I definitely did not go to chatchuk market I havebeento this marketbefore and would not recommend it to any animal lovers (even though there are some amazing animals here).

The pets shops we went to were at the far end on the night market (this is the night market which should of closed in April)I cannotlet you knowhow upsetting it wasto see how thesebunnies were being kept.

I have all my pets uncaged running free and able to explore naturally.Do you feed your rabbits grass and greens?

Hi, Big bad rabbits.

Thank you for the website.I have been there at night barzaar before, and now the night bazaar still open (does not close yet, i don't know why). yeah i know how you feel, when i went to Jatujak market i want to cry everytime i saw the little buuny in little cage.

My rabbits are in cage because i keep them all in house, mostly of the time i stay and work in my house, so when i'm staying at home i let them explore the world freely ^_^. I feed rabbit with grass and greens, sometimes Hay.

The grass i grow named "vitacraft". it is very fun to grow the grass by myselve. It's like "i can't wait please grow up quickly!!".

Nice to know you big bad rabbits.

Yous rabbits must be the luckiset in Thailand.

I was upsetafter the night market visit and still can see the poor little buns in the cage on the floor, they came up to the bars for a stroke and some attention. I wish I lived there and I would of bought them to rescue them.

Myself and my partner plan to move over the Thailand eventually and when we do I will be rescuing the poor littleones.

Do you find most therabbits over there are white? You have a photo of a rabbit with the most amazing large black eyes - very unusual.

How long have you had your bunnies?

Welcome Giang! It is good to have you here at the forum. Your bunnies are beautiful. Thank you for sharing the pictures.

You should add a thread to the Infirmary section and describe Mai Kward's symptoms. Also explain about any medical adivce or treatment you have gotten for her. There are some members of RO who have a lot of experience with rabbit illnesses and who will read the posts to the infirmary often. I am sure that one of them can help you to learn more about your rabbit's illness.

It's great that you are trying to learn all you can about your rabbits. I hope that you enjoy your time on the forum, and I look forward to getting to know you and your bunnies!

Hi Giang,

I had never heard of wry neck before reading your email. I looked it up and I now know what it is - horrible.

I have seen one rabbit with this condition but at the time did not know it had wry neck. Guess where I seen this rabbit ? Bunnyland in the night market!!

It was a awful looking condition I hope your lop is going to be OK.

I will give you a hint when looking for things on the internet in another countrysearch for Google uk or Goodle USA then ask a question through that window. I do this all the time when looking for things in your country (google-thailand) and get better results.

Please let me know how your rabbit is doing.

I am sure I along with all the others here wish you well.

Mai Kward's update story is already posted in Infirmary forum.

Here are video cli[ of Mai Kward
