My name's Aryiah and right now I live in Rochester, MI but will be moving down to Loveland, CO come summer time to live with my dad. Since that's where I'm going to college, I thought this decision would be best if I wanted to lower my tuition price (spending my senior year of high school back in a place I'm familiar with woo!).
I don't own any rabbits and up until recently had never considered owning one. At first, my intial reasoning was the entire "Aww, 'cause they're cute!" factor, but the more I've read about them, the less it has become an impulsive act and more of a "I may actually do this" decision. I like doing my research before undertaking on any type of new animal I'm unfamiliar with.
But the breed (or breeds, haha) of rabbit I'd like to potentially get in the near future would be the dwarf hotot OR the Himalayan. And my inner breeder (the one I secretly try to ignore and hide) would love to start a rabbitry with one of these breeds with where I'll be living.
On that note, if anything I say seems ignorant or naive, PLEASE feel free to correct me. I'm new to the rabbit world, and I'd be the most grateful for those who can help me out and give me proper information so that one day I can help out others as well.
Also, if you know of any dwarf hotot or Himalayan rabbit breeders in CO, tell me about them! That way at least I'll know where to start my search!
