Oh Pipp.....part of me wants to put out a big smiley and say, "I'm just fine...thanks for asking".

Ha.

I'm not fine though and I've not been as active on the forum because of it. I have had bloodwork done to see if I have type II diabetes and I have an appointment w/ a doctor on June 4th. (That is a big step for me as I am totally scared of doctors). I also suspect that I am anemic....again. This will only be the fourth time I will have to go on iron tablets if I'm as bad as I think I am.

I'm still struggling with things from my trip home - I knew mom was getting older but it is hard to see her failing and not be able to do anything.

I guess I've had to admit to myself that I'm going into a depressive episode....wanting to sleep all the time and being exhausted. A number of things are contributing.

BUT....in some ways I am taking control of things. For instance, Robin & I will be doing major clean cleaning this afternoon....I have supper planned already too. In other words...I'm fighting back.

I just don't have as much time for the forum right now.....but I'll be popping in as I can.

I'm hoping after I see the doctor on June 4th - we'll have some answers about my health and I can control things better. Right now a lot of my internet time is spent researching diabetes II and menu plans and stuff like that.....

Well that sucks. :( I saw your message on the MSN screen about feeling flu-sick.

My sister's a diabetic.I was actually diagnosed in my early twenties, but I think they got my results mixed up with someone else's. After spending a week at 'diabetic school' learning how to be one, never scored a positive test result again. But hey, gets you ona healthy diet. Iron pills suck, too, my momis on them and hates them. :(

Yeah, tough seeing our parents grow old. Distressing andinevitable. Hope your visit was otherwise nice.

Honestly, the 'big clean up' will be the best medicine-- as long as you don't let it overwhelm you. It always seems like it shouldgo faster and easier than it actually does. But starting the sucker is the hardest part and the most important step. (Although my problem is abandoning it 3/4 of the way through,LOL!)

Don't worry about the forum, that's your last priority. ;)

But do pop in and let us know how it's going.

Yeah - I think the big cleanup will have a lot to do with my moods and feeling better. I think it helps that today Robin & I cleaned 15 cages in the rabbitry....felt soooooo good and the rabbits were so ticked off at me - it was hilarious and I couldn't help but laugh (the girls hate it when I invade their turf - the guys are like "woo hoo...mom's here").

The tough part is Art works mids this week but I'm starting to set REASONABLE goals for myself that I can manage....

not to butt in on this...

i've taken iron pills most of my life. BLECH. and i almost always forget, even though i take other things daily....i just can't seem to remember that stupid pill.

LAME SAUCE.

just to add my 2cents in here...

feel better really soon, peg.
