Hey everyone!

Recently got a cute wee bunny, named Tobi! mixture of breeds i believe as he was meant to be a lop, but turned out verry fluffy and no lop! I haven't nutured him yet, was born in july - should be doing that soon!
BUT I'm seriously struggling to litter train him! Any thoughts?? I love him to bits but i'm at a loose end!
HELP!
Thanks!
Look forward to hearing from you. I

 Hit your other posting with what goes on at our place. If your hoping for a bunny that only poops in a pan or hutch, your hope is probably in vain. I consider mine litter trained if the urinate in a pan. We have several around the rabbit room--yes, they have their own room--and as for the poop,we have a shop vac nicknamed "poopsucker 2000".

Welcome to RO! :) your bunny sounds cute! Post pics!

As for the litter box training I can't help with that, as my bunny is having problems with his litter training too, at least he pees in the litter box. As for the poops we just sweep them up.

Neutering can help make it better, but it is a constant challenge to get all the poo. At least if they pee in the box it makes clean up much easier.

Have you tried sweeping the poops up and putting them in the box?
Chances are he won't poop in the box all the time. My bun is about 50/50 with poops but now 100% with pee.
I think we all probably count ourselves lucky when they pee only in the box!

Welcome to the forum! :D

I have a little guy who was "supposed" to be a lop too, but he never lopped either!

Does your bun go in a particular corner? Or more frequently in that corner? Make sure to put a litter box there. Only put bedding or litter or whatever you're using in the box, and not on the floor of the cage. Definitely put dirty litter in the pan first so he knows it's his. I used to watch my Big Bunny hop over to a certain place and raise up his tail and say "no," pick him up and put him in the litter box. He caught on very quickly!

Good luck! They say neutering helps a lot too :)
