Is Hemp rope safe for rabbits? I've done a search but did not come up with anything. Thanks

Thank you for taking the time. While on the subject what rope/ twine is safe for rabbits? Hemp is just easy to get around here, but I'm sure I can find other types of rope/twine around.

Sisal twine is safe. what are you going to be using it for exactly?

well i bought one of those quik-tubes, and ni thought he's like running through it with ropes hanging down through it. The adventure center I got him, he loves to run through the twine on that.

What is sisal?
Species Agave sisalana, or sisal, as it's commonly called, is a member of the Agavaceae family.

How about jute twine?

I use it in a lot of craft projects.

I haven't found much yet as far as toxic or not.....***searches on***

If Sisal is really dangerous, then never buy any store bought toys with string on them because that is Sisal string. Also, many toys from Bunny Bytes also are made with sisal.

I use sisal string however and have not had any problems.
