Hi all xx

My new 8 week old bunny has got it all wrong! I am trying to housetrain her and I have been following past advice from the forum andplacing her and her poop in the litter tray everytime she has anaccident.

After a while she started to get the idea although everytime she poopedon the floor she takes herself to the litter tray knowing that that iswhere i am going to send her!

I am so proud of her for getting the jist but how can i get her tounderstand that i want her to poop in the tray? My partner and I arejust laughing - she looks so pitiful sitting in her tray waiting to becongratulated.

She's still a little young. It's like you'reexpecting a baby to use the potty and skip right over the diaper stage.Give it a month and she should have it down. In light of this, don'tgive up saying she's too young. Keep at it and when she's got enoughcontrol, she'll already know what she's supposed to do.

Awwhttp://www. That's extremelycute. She's trying so hard to please you. Sweetgirl.

I know she is very young and I will stick withit! I am so proud that she has understood this much! I am in a no winsituation as I don't want to congratulate her and let her think she isdoing right as this will just confuse her and I don't want her to thinkthat I don't appreciate what she is doing! She just sits there waitingfor me to say 'good girl' which i have done on the occasions that ithought she used the tray!

Thanx for your advice - wish you could see her its so sweet!

Very well put Shuu, I liked the diaper part. :)

LOL that's just too cute.

It reminds me of when I had to give medicine to JJ. He wouldkick and and act all crazy, but he knew he always got a raisinafterwards. He would follow me to the kitchen, grab theraisin, eat it, then plop down with his butt facing me; I knew hedefinitely didn't like me at that moment, but would still come to me ifI had raisins.

I think our bunnies would find us completely useless if we didn't feed them. :)

I think it's kind of cute.:p We should get your bunny together with my Mocha, who will
a.) sit in the litterbox and poop over the side
b.) go to the litterbox, sit there, then let the poop fly as she jumps out
c.) randomly poop in the cage, but keep it to the cage except for when she must show the new bunnies who owns the place.

She is 9 months old and spayed. Oh well.:? I justkeep cleaning her cage twice a day in the hopes she'll get theidea. Her cagemate, meanwhile, is perfectly littertrained, but I had nothing to do with that.
