help with showing bunnies

hello!,

i a in high school this year and i am going to show a rabbit for small stock and i had a few questions for people who know how to.
ok,,, so how do you show <if there is a difference in state i live in arizona>, what are judges looking for in the bunnies <i am thinking about showing lion heads>, what is the best breed(s) to show? what are the temperaments like? and any tips for showing?

None of those appear very promising for show (some are most certainly not showable). I recommend going to a show (search the American Rabbit Breeders Association site for a show near you) and having breeders explain to you what a good quality show rabbit looks like and what the judges are looking for (you need to purchase the Standard of Perfection from the American Rabbit Breeders Association). Also watch the judging and listen to the judges comments. Observing will help you to choose a showable rabbit for yourself and know what DQ's to look for.

I don't recommend Lionheads to start out with - not ARBA accepted (not all shows allow them) and too many DQ's. It's unlikely you'd get a showable specimen that would keep it's mane.

The ARBA also has an excellent guidebook available that I highly recommend.

I wouldn't recommend getting any of these rabbits. The Lops are not very compact and have long thin ears. Lionheads are not showable also.
My advice is decide on Rex, Holland Lop or Dutch and search for a show breeder in your area. Then get the best trio you can afford (2 does and 1 buck). To find show breeders attend some shows in your area. Make sure they are ARBA (American Rabbit Breeder's Association) breeders not just for fairs.
