My husband and I took in a 6 month old lop eared called Daisy last week after her previous owner could no longer keep her. Looking online we think she is a holland lop eared. She has a lovely temprement, likes to be stroked and sits on your lap. Up until about 3 days ago she would happily go in her litter tray to do her business. But now she's started to do her business all over the house. But especially when she sits on my husband's lap. About an hour ago she also urinated all over him. She has also taken to nipping him quite often when she is sat with him. Any ideas what is wrong? She is fine whilst on my lap, licking me. We also have 4 children and she is absoloutely fine with them. I have had her poo on me the odd time but nothing like my husband has. She hasn't urinated on anyone other than him either. She is yet to be spayed. I will be booking her in for that in a few weeks. We're just wondering what could all of a sudden alter her behaviour from when she first arrived at our home.

What is happening is she is edging into her teenage years and she is starting to be hormonal and act up the best way to fix this problem would be to get her spayed.

When she goes to the bathroom anywhere other than the litter box make it a point to pick up her poop or pee(wipe it up with a towel) and put it in her litter box to show her THIS GOES HERE.

When she nips without yelling say firmly NO and she will get the message but the best way to fix this problem is to get her spayed.

good luck

Thanks for the reply. Hoping to take her to get spayed in a couple of weeks. Hopefully she'll calm down after that because other than that she is such a lovely little rabbit.

:yeahthat: the fun of bunny teenage years :p

After the spaying she'll need to be confined a bit so she can heal, so you might want to plan for that now. What do you have in the way of a cage or exercise pen? Or just being in a room where she can't jump up on anything should be fine after a day or 2 in a cage while she's on pain meds.
