I took in two gorgeous foster guinea pigs from Small Animal Rescue Society of BC. They're two 7 month old sisters named Fry and Tater Tot.. We've all agreed that these are horrible names, and I've been allowed to rename them! But to what..?

I don't even know who's Fry and who's Tater Tot?

Here are their pics, and remember.. I was never told who's who  The pictures aren't that good.. we see mostly the brown and white sister. The other is orange and white, blending into brown and white as the markings near her butt.

Being a huge dork that I am...

Star Wars dork.. and mother of 2 twin black cats named Boba and Jango Fett, I am gonna have to go with Padme and Amidala..Paddy and Ami.. but say it like Ahhhh meeeeee

Or **** and Span

Or Frenchy and Rizzo

Or Xena and Gabrielle

But then again all my rabbits are named after royalty, except for Reveille

They're so cute! How about Eclair for the brown and white one and Caramel for the orange and white one? Or Toffee or Brickle for the orange one.

Oh, they're cute! I'm a big fan of guinea pigs, so I'm in love with this post! Speaking of which, you'll be seeing a post from me about guinea pigs in just a few moments.

As for names, I like the following:

  • Cinnamon and Nutmeg
  • Cocoa and Mocha
  • Caramel and Hazelnut
And, for some non-food names:

  • Hope and Faith
  • Serena and Harmony
  • Marlow and Sophie
There's a bajillion names I could come up with, but how's that for a start?! Good luck with them - they're very lucky to be fostered by you.

I'm glad you like Eclair! Is it spelled Eclair or Eclaire? I always thought they were chocolate eclairs. It's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the picture of her. Are you still testing out names? I really want a couple guinea pigs now!

2 nights ago we were at Petco and saw a piggy someone abandoned there, the people at the store say she was born without bottom teeth and blind. Her upper front teeth are very overgrown, she needs a home with someone who can clip her teeth or file them down. She was nice and chubby and active and friendly in spite of her troubles though. The people at the store said they got her in a "shipment" as a baby, realized there was something wrong with her, and had her on their free adoption table for a couple months before someone decided to adopt her. But 3 months later they brought her back and ditched her so she needs a new home :( I e-mailed someone I know who loves piggies and works at a vet office and am waiting to hear back from her! Wish we could adopt her. She's white with red eyes and has long pretty fur. Because of her red eyes I can't help wondering if they mistook her limited vision for blindness.

I like their original names. Of course, a friend of mine has two horses - French Fry and Ketchup.

Oh no, poor Piggie! I love guinea pigs.. I used to rescue pregnant ones from pets stores.

Haha.. Tator Tot is starting to grow on me.. but I really shouldn't =P

Eclair is staying.. and I think we're going to name the other girl "Cerise" which is French for "Cherries!"

I really like Cerise! Good job pickin' nice names :biggrin2: How are the little piggies doing? Is Cerise coming out of her house now? Are you keeping them?

They're really growing on me!

Yes Cerise is coming out of the box.. she comes up to me for food! =] If I adopt these two, I will continue my streak of adopting ALL of my fosters. :p

This morning, Eclair pulled the blanket off the ramp and wrapped it around her self and started walking around. She looked just like... a walking eclair =P
