Help! Anyone with rabbits with liver disease who pulled through?

My rabbit has a wound at her belly and I brought her to a vet, the vet prescribed combiderm for her for 3 weeks. Afterwhich, she suffered weight loss and diarrhea on the last day of the 3 weeks, hence I went to other vet (as the previous clinic is closed). The other vet run a blood test and detected that she has liver failure. Her results are as such:

GLU 12.85 mmol/L
UREA 5.8 mmol/L
CREA 26 umol/L
TP 47 g/L
ALB 30 g/L
GLOB 17 g/L
ALT 556 U/L
ALKP 476 U/L

She is on Pennicillin and TMPS antibiotics and Hartmann’s IV fluids, Vitamin K, Rantidine and Milk Thistle (Hepoinite). After 2 days which is today, she did a blood test again and her results are as such:

GLU 6.57 mmol/L
UREA 1.1 mmol/L
CREA 27 umol/L
TP 53 g/L
ALB 34 g/L
GLOB 20 g/L
ALT 684 U/L
ALKP 505 U/L

Other than supportive care, is there any other medications or checks which I should be asking my vet to induce? The vet said that my pet’s xray is normal and she is not suitable for a biopsy. They will be conducting a ultrasound for her at around 6pm plus. My pet is hospitalized at the clinic and is on critical care and IV drip now. However, she seems to be rejecting critical care as well and seems lethargic. I’m unable to keep my pet company as the nurse does not allow me to stay there. Today, the vet told me that she wants me to take my pet home to be under home care and that I should administer the medicine via injections myself. I can’t help but think that it may be due to the poor condition of my rabbit that they are afraid she might pass away at the clinic.

I’m very lost and upset. Anyone who experience such cases, pls share your experience and can you pls advise if there are any specific medication or methods I should check with my vet on?

Million thanks!!!!

I can't read test results, hopefully someone else can. I can try sending them to our vet advisers, but some crucial info is missing.

How old is the rabbit? How did she get the wound? Did it get infected? Did she get any meds along with the the combiderm, which is just a bandage if I understand that correctly?

I'm guessing but if she's young and otherwise healthy, maybe the liver is failing from infection or meds?

Sorry I have no experiences to offer. The second vet sounds great. Hope she can detox and survive this. :(

(And Hepavite would be the milk thistle drug).

Thanks so much!!! She is close to 2 yrs old and combiderm is the cream that contains steriods which i use to apply on the wound. I have no idea how she has gotten the wound. I just realised that she got a wound. Before applying the cream i clean the wound with a solution. The second vet said possible cause maybe the cream.

Steroids are really not good for rabbits. :(

I'd like to make sure our vet listings for Singapore mention the first vet isn't rabbit experienced and recommend the second vet.

I hope she pulls through this. :(
