So I tried to introduce a new bunny to a current bunny (who has been nothing but sweet and kind) but when I did, it instantly pounced on her and attacked her. Both females. I pulled them apart instantly, but the new one ended up with a chunk of fur and possibly skin missing out of its cheek. Looks like its to the meat. It all happened in like 4-5 seconds. I'm now worried about this poor bunny. Is this something that will heal? Will the fur grow back? Do I need to go to the vet? That's my thought right now is a trip to the vet first thing in the morning, but wanted to ask some people who probably know more than I do or have experienced something like this. We cleaned the area and put Neosporin on it. Bunny is acting fine eating and drinking. What do I do?

Oh dear. Yes please take her to a vet as soon as you can. Wounds like that have the potential to be deeper then you may see. There may be more skin pulled from the muscle that you may not notice.

As for why it happened. You cant just put 2 bunnies together. Bonding is extremely complicated.
