i've had my rabbit Simon for about three months, but i'm not sure how young he was when i first got him. I'd love to knwo what breed he is and how old he might be. i'm pretty sure he's stopped growing, he's been the same size for a while now.

my friend also has two rabbits, one of which came from the same litter as Simon, the other is younger. any info on the brown rabbit would be much appreciated too!

the first is when simon and dolce were little, the week we brought them home. the second is dolce and gabi. simon and dolce have longer faces, and their ears have turned almost black. they have silky fur. gabi is only slightly smaller than dolce, and his face has darkened since this photo was taken. he's fluffier, and has a smaller/shorter face

They look like mixed breed rabbits to me, or some kind of commercial crosses.

The white color with black points and red eyes is called Himilayan and is a recognized color in many breeds.

The brown, shaded color is called Black Tortoise, and is also a recognized color in many breeds.

All of those rabbits look like young adults. If you haven't had them long, I would guess that they are under a year old. Maybe 6-8 months. :)

thanks! i'm pretty sure they would be crossbreeds, my friend walked past them in a window of a petshop and there were just too little white bunnies left. she felt so sorry for them she bought them on the spot, and we very suddenly became rabbit owners! so now i'm trying to learn. i think i've been feeding them too much carrot, but so far all three (gabi was adopted in a similar manner by the same friend a few weeks later. it's like a compulsion with her)seem happy, energetic, they eat alot, chew everything, coats are shiny, they groom, their poos are round and hard (we read that soft was bad??).

It sounds like they are very happy healthy bunnies. :)

Carrots are something you will want to limit since they have a lot of sugar in them. But most vegetables are okay in moderation.

Did the petstore or place you got him, tell you what age approximately he was? I was told mine was 3-4 months but it turned out she was 6-7 months. Ifshe was 3-4 months when we got her, she would be Happy's size now and she was NEVER that size. I'm sad they didn't know and/or lied to me. I love her reguardless but I would have loved to know how old she was when we brought her home, so we can estimate a Birthday. We were already sold with her no matter how old she was.

I'm thinking your little guy is about the same age 7-8 months. If you bought him and he was about 3-4 months and have had him for 3 months. I'm guessing her totally.

:) He is ADORABLE!
