I thought I should join a forum today because I always have a random question or two in the back of my mind...
I am a new bunny owner(unexpectedly actually!) and I got my first rabbit last summer. He is from a breeder, and he is a Netherland Dwarf x Holland lop cross, and he is a black tort. His name is Preston, and he is about to turn 6 months soon.
Honestly when I found him, I had always wanted a rabbit. I've owned just about everything, and I did my research however I never actually found a rabbit. So please don't worry, he lives a good life and is spoiled to death.
About Me--the owner
I am a teenager who lives in Virginia, and I am proud to say I support my animals myself as opposed to my parents. I have a job at a concert and theater house, and I also teach clarinet. My personal animals consist of six rats, a fish, two hamsters, a rabbit, and a dog. We also have another dog whom I do not financially support, but it's my mothers dog and she doesn't mind. I play Bb and Eb Clarinet, as well as Trombone and Piano, and I march clarinet in my marching band.
I used to breed hamsters, and have started owning rats and rescuing a few instead.
My dream is to be a dog breeder/show-er
About Preston--the rabbit
Preston was born in May and is a Holland Lop Netherland dwarf cross. He is a black tort with floppy ears and a heart of gold. He is the most easygoing and bouncy boy and I have had no problems with him. I plan on getting him neutered soon to help with his potty-training, as I heard some scary stories about aggressive rabbits. Currently he is fed alfalfa hay(oxbow) and is fed pellets twice a day(also oxbow) and I am just starting to introduce him to greens and switch him over to timothy hay since he is getting older.
I think that's pretty much it, thank you for reading!
