I picked up a 3 month old Lionhead buck yesterday afternoon, Nugget. I already have him on Sherwood Forest M/S with organic meadow hay. We will be going in for a wellness exam next week and to discuss neutering. My question is, what are some whole food treats I can give him in addition to eventually weaning him onto fresh greens when he is of age? Minus the pelleted mix, I'd like to avoid any processed treats and stick to whole foods. Thank you in advance!

Fruit makes a good treat, though like the veggies, you have to introduce him to them slowly. Things like Banana, strawberry, pineapple, apple (no seeds) and various others that I can't remember off the top of my head.

HI!! welcome!! I give my lionhead boys a little piece of dried papaya!! it helps with wool block also!!

I second the dried papaya & Craisins for treats as well as the above mentioned treats. They all get two ears up from my buns! lol They love their healthy unprocessed treats!
:yeahthat:craisins is the equivalent of crack to bunnies--so, small amount only. If you have a source for fresh apple branches that a insecticide free.
