Hello everyone :)
I am Bailee, and I am a new rabbit owner (age:16)
I did so much research before I decided to get a rabbit!
I had to make sure I was ready, and I was!

I got my first (and currently only) rabbit a few weeks back.
Her name is Solara, and I adopted her from the Michigan Humane Society :)

I was going to adopt a sweet 4 year old drawf (she loved being held), but she was adopted before we could adopt her. Somehow I knew it was going to happen, but I was still devastated. But I don't regret it. She got her home. Solara was destined to be with me :)

Here are some pictures of my baby:

Those are when i first got her, she's much bigger now :)

I don't have a clue what breed she is though. She came from a home who apparently couldn't keep anymore bunnies because they had so many. (I'm hoping not an outrageous amount). They said she was part American Sable, but I'm not so sure.

I am wondering if she might be part flemish giant because she is so large already, and I saw this picture: http://cacecil.deviantart.com/art/Adrian-Zak-140385286 of someone else's flemish giant mix.
That rabbit looks a lot like Solara's petfinder.com picture that I saved:

I might, and most likely are mistaken though. Any ideas of some of the breeds she could be mixed with? Please PM me :) I'm really curious to what all of you think.

She has dark patches that you can't really see because they're not that much darker than the rest of her fur.

She's a complete sweetie, and licks (only) me on my face and hands, and loves to be stroked. She doesn't mind being picked up either.

She's a really calm bunny, and will be six months on March 8th, and that is when we'll be getting her fixed (which I'm terrified of, because I have a fear of people handling her wrong. I would die if I lost her ): )

Anyways, nice to meet everyone :)!

oh, and here are some videos of her :)

Hello Sarah :)
Nice to meet you!
That's funny, when I adopted Solara, her name had been Sarah.
What a coincidence :)

Hello & Welcome to the best website ever to know about your bunnies. My name is Misty. But Welcome to the RO.
:D

But anyways. Your bunny looks like my old girl that i used to have. I heard she was a flemish Giant mix. The same colors alittle bit.

Let me welcome you to Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it. She is very beautiful, nice pictures.

I’ve listed some links I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link to a website that will help you understand what your rabbit(s) are saying to you, Rabbitspeak.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, How to put photo's in your posts.

This the best site on the web for bunnies and I look forward to hearing stories and looking at pictures of your rabbit.
