Roo was a gift to my son's ex girl friend's girlfriend from an ex boyfriend! last April my son brought home this castoff little black bunny and our lives have not been the same since. We are now looking for a campanion bunny for Roo. Grocery shopping centers around what tasty vegetable he might like, our home decoration centers on what fabrics will stand up to his precious claws and teeth.

amazing what one little bun can do, huh?

the bunny 101 section has a lot of info, including what veggies would be good for your little guy, http://rabbitsonline.net/view_forum.php?id=17

Hi and welcome!
Do share pictures. You might also consider posting in the rabbitry section so we can make a guess on his breed.

Isnt' it amazing how that bundle of fur can change your life? Really gives you a different set of priorities, etc.

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome, Jelson!

What area do you live in? Perhaps we can help you find a companion for your little one. There are a lot of bunny slaves on here who can relate to what you are saying.

We love to discover more slaves to share their stories and photos!

We live in Albany NY and are already in contact with the Catskill Animal Sanctuary (CAS)which is about an hour south of here regarding a companion for Roo. The plan is we will take him to check out and be checked out by their twenty bunnies, if there seems to be a likely candidate, or two? we will take the bunnies for a little car ride, we return their bunny, staff from the CAS come check us out in Albany and if they like what they see, we go and pick up our new bunny. Cathy Stevens who founded CAS has written a book about rescuing farm animals and has been on the news lately because due to the down turn in the economy, people have been bringing CAS large animals in greater numbers than before. Good grief, maybe we will come home with a donkey, a duck and a bunny!! sorry about this, it probably belongs under another topic, but the only other message board which I post to has to do with kayaking and it is not as sophisticated as this one!

Welcome :biggrin2:! Your going to love it here.

Can't wait to see pics/more stories of Roo. What a cute name :D. He is neutered, right?

Also, can you put your general location in your profile, just so other members can know incase we need to give you recommendations for something in your area :).

Get out :p! I am from Johnstown, New York....but moved to Arizona 2 1/2 years ago! I am due for a visit back to NY at the end of the summer (I hope). The Fonda Fair and Adirondack Animal Land are calling for me to come visit :D, hehehe.

It's so awesome seeing a member so close to where I was born and raised!
