Hi everyone! My girlfriend and I just became bunny owners a couple of months ago, we adopted Babs and Nibs http://www.rabbitsonline.net/view_topic.php?id=28846&forum_id=7from the Vancouver SPCA. We changedNibs' name to Mibs, as my girlfriend and I both thought it suited him better than Nibs... He's not exactly the most nibbly bun.
We've had some interesting times with them so far, I guess buns that have been in a shelter that long tend tobecome a bit reclusive and generally fearful. They have taken their sweet time in warming up to us,but every time they cross a new threshold with their trust for us, it is completely heartwarming. They both have a ton of personality. Babs is a complete control freak, and rearrangestheir cage regularly. She is also fond of sleeping on their veggie plate, which is all kinds of cute. Mibs is very much a little boy in his mannerisms. Lately, he's taken to hopping up to one of us, bumping our leg with his nose, and then turning around to hop away before we can givehim a head scratch in return. He also likes hiding behind my guitars, pretending he is invisible, and then taking off with a maddash and a binky or two.
We also are fostering a baby dwarf Hotot named Dot that we planon adopting once she is spayed. She isquite the handful, the first night we had her she escaped 3 times because we underestimated her Houdini-esque escape artistry. That's what weget for thinking we can wait a day tobuy her NICcondo supplies! After we get her spayed, we will most likely be taking on a 4th bun to bond with Dot, and that will be the last one, or at least that's what we're telling ourselves. I'm pretty sure that we're addicted to bunnies, and I don't really think I want to be cured of it.
My name is Stray, and I'm a bunaholic.
