Hi all,
I'm a 23yo long-time rabbit lover from Australia. Unfortunately, I don't currently own any bunnies but I used to have a beautiful boy, Hazel-rah, whom I sadly lost to myxo in Sep 2008. You can see him here: http://azerane.deviantart.com/gallery/3278362?offset=48#/d11qtox
I've always loved animals, but my love of rabbits started from when I first saw the movie Watership Down, when I was younger. I enjoy the movie and absolutely love the books, and hence I had to name my bun after the main character After that, I used to sneak around my grandparents farm with a pair of binoculars to watch the wild rabbits and would spend hours doing so.
These days, I would love to own another pet rabbit, preferably an indoor one, but I don't really have the space or the lifestyle for it. After I lost Hazel-rah in 08, I wanted to get another rabbit, but I go overseas every year or two for months at a time so I haven't had the heart to buy a rabbit that I would simply have to abandon to someone else for months at a time. Not fair on the bun.
I'm hoping, that after I get back from my overseas trip early next year that I can perhaps foster some bunnies for the local rabbit rescue group. Then I at least get to have some bunny contact, and it will be rewarding, but I don't have to worry about abandoning a pet rabbit if I went overseas again.
I think that's all from me This site looks great, I've spent quite a bit of time browsing and there's lots of cute rabbits and really neat enclosures to admire.
