Child rabbit owner (kind of) parents did most the work
Adult rabbit owner (kind of) I get carded everywhere I go.
Starting my rabbit experience with 750 bucks of start up money. Going small to get the feel of things at first. Bought 4 of those "easy to assemble" 24x24" cages at Rural King $20 a piece.... the frames and dropping trays added another $25....add the feeder and water bottle....wow...Got them all together and punched the numbers...found out how much money I wasted and decided too build my own cages. Same thing with nesting boxes. Although I would like to help the commercial rabbit supply companies as much as I can, building my own cages to certain specs is easier, cheaper, and gives a little bit of self worth to my operation.
I'm not sure how to post pictures...any suggestions??
I have the daughter of a 2 time BOB Californian and a Cali Buck whos grandfather placed well.
Then a Blue Otter Rex who was recently awarded BOB and 4th out of over 60 BOS. She is mating with a new Blue otter I picked up.
Still soooo new to this, learning and have questions everyday...so hopefully I can get some answers here.
I will be looking for good show characteristics in the Cals. Rex will be for show only and maybe pets.
whew fingers are tired now...hope that is a decent introduction
