Hi! Welcome to the forum.
I don't know of anyone that raises rabbits for meat on here, I think mostly we are all proud bunny parents and RO has become an invaluable source of information for all rabbit owners-or at least for me it has! Maybe try posting in the rabbitry section to see if anyone raises meat rabbits...:?

I think there might be a few on here who have rabbits as pets and for 4-H also. Welcome to the forum!

What is this 4-H thing that I keep seeing mentioned... we don't have that over here!
I had a dream that I gave someone permission to eat my pet and then I felt really guilty and was crying a lot... then I woke up. I definitely wouldn't be eating rabbits... but I guess that is personal preference.

4-H is a program to teach children about animals and farm life as far as I know... i don't really know much about it.
I am from TN as well, although I live in WV right now. I grew up with a family that raised rabbits, chicken, and cattle for meat. It's really not so much a preference as much as it is what you are used to. I'de personally never eat the rabbits I have had or have, but I do understand the farm lifestyle, I commonly ate the cattle I had raised and named. It's just a way of life. Welcome to the forum.
